Poznań Builds Resilience to Crises

On July 31, 2024, a meeting dedicated to the project "CECRS" was held at the headquarters of the Department of Security and Crisis Management of the Poznań County. This initiative, funded by the NATO SPS program, aims to improve the preparedness of county residents for various types of threats.

The project is being carried out in collaboration with the Poznań University of Technology, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Poznań County, and the Bucha District.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the results of the project's first phase, identify encountered challenges, and develop solutions. The project leader, Dr. Oksana Erdeli, provided a detailed analysis of the achievements so far and presented a plan for further actions aimed at increasing the resilience of local communities to crisis situations. The meeting was attended by Mr. Maciej Szuba, Vice-Chairman of the County Safety and Security Commission of the Poznań County.

During the discussion, a plan for implementing the second phase of the project was established. In collaboration with the department team led by Director Paweł Kurosz, schedules for meetings with county residents and local government employees will be developed. These meetings will form the basis for conducting the planned qualitative research.

The project's goal is to enhance the safety of county residents by increasing their preparedness for various types of crisis situations. This is an important aspect of Poznań County's safety policy, aimed at strengthening the resilience of local communities.
