Project funded by the NATO SPS program

The project has been designed as a direct response to the increasing number of global crises that pose extremely serious challenges to the modern world. Climate change, pandemics, armed conflicts, economic and social crises are just some of the threats that require a coordinated and effective response at the local level. Recognizing that these crises increasingly impact the security and well-being of communities worldwide, our project focuses on strengthening the resilience and adaptive capacities of local communities so they can more effectively respond to crisis situations. In the context of growing uncertainty and potential threats to national and international security, particularly evident in the example of Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic, the project aims to enhance the resilience and adaptive capabilities of local communities in Poland and Ukraine. By supporting local structures in effective crisis management and increasing their readiness for various scenarios, the project contributes to building lasting stability and security. The project is implemented by Poznan University of Technology together with the Poznan County, and the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the Buchanska District Council.
