Agreement on Cooperation between the Poznań District and Poznań University of Technology

On February 26, the Rector of Poznań University of Technology, Prof. Teofil Jesionowski, and the Poznań District Governor, Jan Grabkowski, signed an agreement for comprehensive cooperation.

The aim of the agreement is to develop principles to enhance the safety of local residents, establish effective collaboration between public institutions and citizens, and support the activities of the local community.

A key component of the signed agreement is cooperation in research and development and educational activities. We focus on modeling and improving the effectiveness of actions to strengthen the capacity of local communities to counteract crisis situations.

The project "CECRS" funded by the NATO SPS program and led by Dr. Oksana Erdeli (Poznań University of Technology) and Prof. Serhii Voitko (Kyiv Polytechnic Institute), fits perfectly into this scope. The project involves Poznań University of Technology, Poznań District, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, and Bucha District Council (Ukraine). It includes research, analysis, and specialized training for representatives of authorities and local communities. The project targets a group of 300 people and focuses on developing the Community Crisis Response Capability Model (MACC).

The conclusions and recommendations developed within the project will be presented to national and international decision-makers. They offer new perspectives on effective crisis management that can be adopted in various geographical and social contexts.

The project "CECRS" is an ambitious endeavor. It adopts a holistic approach to crisis management, combining theory with practice. It aims to build more resilient and integrated communities capable of effectively responding to the challenges of the modern world.

Through this project, Poznań University of Technology and its partners contribute to creating a safer and more resilient society, ready to face any crisis.
